Dr. Han Ko, the Chief Editor of Dailynews (U.S. Candada and S. America) and the President of USAKO Group, has been participating in CES 2024 in Las Vegas, as both an investor judge and speaker for the Silicon Valley Funding Summit. This esteemed program, hosted by the European Innovation Council (EIC) in collaboration with the University of Las Vegas, Temple University, U.S. Small Business Development Center (SBCD), and Consumer Technology Association (CTA), aims to foster innovation.
During the event, Dr. Ko, in his role as Chief Editor, had the privilege of meeting and interviewing Mr. Jean-David Malo, the Director of EIC. According to Mr. Malo, the EIC, as the European Commission's premier innovation initiative, is committed to discovering, nurturing, and amplifying groundbreaking technologies. With a substantial budget of €10.1 billion, the EIC seeks to provide extensive support, offering multi-million Euros of funding per company throughout their innovation journey.
Mr. Jean-David Malo and the EIC are directly involved in planning and executing investments in global startup companies under this fund. The EIC has carefully selected numerous global startups to participate in CES 2024, recognizing approximately 50 companies worldwide, including several South Korean startups from K-Water and Seoul, for their positive efforts in integrating markets globally.
